Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup sweetened shredded coconut
- ½ cup grams pecan halves
- ½ cup evaporated milk
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch sea salt

Directions
In a medium mixing bowl, prepare the filling.
Combine coconut, pecan halves, evaporated milk.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vegetable oil.
Combine the wet and dry mixtures and mix until just combined.
Preheat the Wonderffle iron to medium-low heat. Add ½ cup batter to the iron.
In the center of the batter add about ¼ cup of filling mixture.
Top with another ½ cup of batter and close to cover.
Cook for 6 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for 4 minutes. Remove the waffle from the iron and repeat with the remaining batter. Enjoy warm and top with any of the remaining filling mixture!
